By accessing or using LawyersTrend, you agree to these Terms. Read them — especially the disclaimers and directory-listing sections.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LawyersTrend, including the website at lawyerstrend.com, the directory, the newsletter, and any related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Not Legal Advice

LawyersTrend's editorial content is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Articles, explainers, statute citations, case summaries, and analysis published on LawyersTrend reflect the views of the authors as of the date of publication and may not be current, accurate, or applicable to your specific situation. Nothing on LawyersTrend creates an attorney-client relationship between you and LawyersTrend, its authors, contributors, or affiliates. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before relying on any information published here.

3. Directory Listings Are Not Endorsements

Inclusion of a provider in the LawyersTrend directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee. LawyersTrend reviews submitted listings for basic completeness and consistency before publication, but does not independently verify every credential, license, board certification, or clinical outcome a provider claims. The directory is a research starting point. Attorneys remain solely responsible for vetting any provider they refer a client to and for negotiating any treatment, billing, or lien arrangement with that provider.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, harvest, mass-download, or otherwise use the directory or editorial content in bulk except as expressly authorized;
  • Use any automated means to access the Services in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form, including the directory listing application;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Interfere with or attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Services.

5. Directory Listings — Provider Responsibilities

If you submit a directory listing on behalf of a medical practice, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are authorized to submit the listing on behalf of the practice;
  • All information submitted is accurate, current, and not misleading;
  • The practice is properly licensed and credentialed for the services and specialties listed;
  • The lien-acceptance representations (PI lien, workers' comp, letters of protection) accurately reflect the practice's policies;
  • You will promptly notify LawyersTrend of material changes — license status, ownership, services offered, contact information — that affect the accuracy of the listing.

6. Paid Tiers

Premium and Featured directory tiers are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for partial months. Paid tiers do not buy editorial coverage or preferential treatment in articles; the editorial firewall is described in our Advertising page.

7. Intellectual Property

LawyersTrend's editorial content, branding, logos, and code are owned by LawyersTrend or its licensors. You may quote short excerpts (under approximately 150 words) for purposes of commentary, criticism, news reporting, or research, provided you credit LawyersTrend and link back to the original article. Republishing full articles or republishing the directory in any form requires written permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” LawyersTrend disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any information will be accurate, current, or complete.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawyersTrend and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LawyersTrend from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your submission of false or infringing information, or your use of the Services in a way that violates applicable law or any third party's rights.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
